Life Lately // Where I've Been

I pride myself so much on creating content and delivering it on a regular basis, so while I was on holiday I tried to schedule as many posts as I possibly could. Before I left my life was as usual, but upon return so much had changed and my mind was anywhere but in it's usual blogging state. I needed time for me, and I took a few days to push blogging out of my mind and to just work on those post holiday errands and spend some much needed time with my support group - my friends.

While I usually keep things as positive as possible in this space, I have been going through a difficult time. It is not necessarily something earth shattering, but it's a big change to my life and one that comes with a lot of thoughts and feelings that need to be sorted through.

The deterioration of a relationship is never fun and the limbo between should we work on it or is it over is just as bad. There are a lot of factors, and while it's been a slow and steady decline and both of us are leaning towards the same decision, it is definitely a big lifestyle change. I almost wish there was something to blame, as there being no solid cause is what is creating such uncertainty.

In the next day or two I really hope to get back on my blogging game and have content as usual, but I really hope you guys will bare with me otherwise.

I would love to hear your thoughts on relationships and how to know when to continue or end them.

  3. I'm sorry you're having a rough time. I think with this sort of thing it really comes down to intuition. You have to go with your gut feeling.

  4. I have similarly been going through the same thing as you and took some days for myself away from blogging, which I think is certainly valid. When we deal with breakups, we do need to focus on ourselves and take some time out just for us. Of course, we can't just skip work or school during a break up and going to work or school regularly really helps because it allows our mind to focus on something else for a while - which can be really beneficial. But when blogging is not a job but an extra hobby, it is completely fine to put it aside for a bit and focus on your own wellbeing and mental health. Sending good vibes your way and wishing you all the best.

  7. Thank you so much, it means the world to me that you took the time to write this.
I definitely agree that blogging as a hobby should be put second, but it still made me a little sad that I didn't have the motivation to work on my blog as that just isn't me.
I definitely have taken my time and can't wait to get back into the swing of things. x

  8. Thank you for stopping by! I agree, it's definitely a gut feeling thing but so much guilt and questioning can come with what you're feeling in your gut, as it doesn't always match up with what you're thinking. x

  10. No worries! I think the most important thing is to try not to get to disappointed on yourself if you need that break because it will just add to the general icky feelings you are experiencing. Remember that it is totally normal to feel pain and that you should allow yourself to feel hurt and cry if you need to, but to feel that pain and try to move past it, because that pain can easily become addicted because in a way it keeps that person alive in our lives. I think it's great that you are looking forward to get back to blogging and it sounds like you are already doing a lot better which makes me very happy :)
