I think reflection is such an important skill to develop, and it's something that every one should really master. We can learn so much from what we've experienced, and even if there is no clear lesson to absorb, just taking in the way things have panned out can provide us with knowledge we may not have even known we needed.
I didn't think a lot would change between January and February, but I have already made so much progress when it comes to one of my biggest goals for 2015 - to finally get my licence. Due to circumstances in my life, I never was able to get the hours and experience I needed to pass my test, but in the past month I've picked up where I left off over a year ago and it has all come back so quickly. After some fine tuning when it comes to parking, I think I'll be ready to take my test, which is so much sooner than I ever anticipated.
Something this major for me working out so well really gives me a burst of excitement and motivation for what else the year may hold. There really is nothing like getting closer to a huge goal, and just the thought makes me smile!
How did the first month of 2015 treat you?
Better than expected, but still feeling the same as last year which sucks :(
ReplyDeleteI just want summer to come to where I live now.

Yay for getting back into driving - I'm sure you'll pass your test :) I'm currently taking lessons for manual which is so much more stressful than automatic, but hopefully I'll get my licence by the end of this year (maybe...) haha!

Driving kind of scares me a little bit, I have no sense of spacial awareness and I'm terrified I'll accidentally scrape someone's car going down the street haha xo
ReplyDeletethank you :) x
ReplyDeletecongratulations!!!
ReplyDeletethis is definitely an inspiring blog post. I really found myself in it as well. I believe that reflecting things, reflecting us ourselves is what makes us human ... individuals.
As well as I reflected my month so far, I was surprised by myself how much happened ...
thanks a lot for sharing your monthly thoughts!

It's definitely one of those things that's time consuming! I hope you get it! x
ReplyDeleteYou too! Thank you for stopping by. x
ReplyDeleteIt definitely is great to reflect and see your progress and how you've changed! Thank you for the well wishes, as well. x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for the kind words! I definitely think I'll be taking my test soon, I just need to fine tune some parking. x
ReplyDeleteThank you so much! I think reflecting is so important and it's definitely something I would love to make a regular feature on the blog, just to track my progress and see how I go. x
ReplyDeleteThe car I'm currently learning in is humongous so I have the same fear as well! It's all down to practice and getting used to the feel of the car, I guess. I hope you get over your fear! x
ReplyDeleteGood luck for you two! It's so reassuring seeing so many people in the same boat when it comes to driving. x
ReplyDeletecongrats on being so close to getting your licence! i was lucky enough to have gotten my Ps just before the cutoff when the laws changed and you had to do 120 hours instead of 50. i can't image how hard it would be trying to get 50 hours for people who have parents who don't drive or who aren't able to teach them for whatever reason, given how expensive it is for just one hour with an instructor. but it really changes your world when you're able to drive around on your own so good luck for whenever your test comes up! :)
