Instant Repurchase: Revlon's 'Lash Potion' Mascara

I feel like I need to reel it in when it comes to raving about this mascara, but on the other hand there has been a sufficient amount of time in between my last rave to warrant another. I never see or hear much about Revlon's Lash Potion which leaves me confused and wanting to speak out about it more as I feel like this is one of those products everyone should try. I have a hefty mascara stash, but this is the only one I ever need to repurchase instantly at the first sign of gloopiness.

This is my holy grail, and I can't say that about many products because I am constantly on the search for something better when it comes to everything else. I don't tend to pick up mascaras too often anymore because nothing ever compares to this. The thing that makes Revlon's Lash Potion so great is that it is an all in one with no sacrifices in any area. It isn't a "this is great but you could do this or layer it with that to get an even better result", it is the best result all on it's own. It gives incredible length, amazing volume and is super, super dark - it basically ticks every box. The brush is very large which I know can deter people, but I think this is the key to why this mascara doesn't clump as it does have quite a thick formula. I think it's obvious by this point that I strongly, strongly recommend this product.

What product in your stash makes you want to force everyone in the world to try it? Let me know!

  3. I am really loving the majlica majorca lash king mascara at the moment, it is difficult to find here but it literally makes my eyelashes look so long, I've had many people ask if I am wearing fake eyelashes.

  4. Yeah, I really don't hear much about this actually, or Revlon mascaras in general! It sounds stunning though, I may have to give it a go, though I have so many mascaras waiting to be used!

  5. I've heard a lot about Max Factor mascaras, I know Suzie from Hello October swears by one and I definitely need to give them a go at some point.

  6. This is such a favourite on the web but I struggle to find it as well!

  7. It so is, I can't say enough good things about it.

  8. I get that way too, I honestly bought this on a whim because it was on sale and I am so glad I did because it's not something I would have thought to try otherwise!

  10. we both have conflicting product posts haha I didn't try this particular mascara because I've read negative reviews when it first came out (I know Revlon did a whole big reveal during Oscars or something). If it's HG status for you, I at least have to give it a try!

  12. I think I've neglected Revlon mascaras, but I'm definitely tempted to give this a try now! My holy grail foundation is L'Oreal Lumi Magique. It's beautiful. The most beautiful. I love it like a child. N x

  13. They are fantastic! The other one I swear by is the Flash Lash Effect. I don't know anyone who doesn't love that product for one reason or another!

  14. I love this one but only the waterproof formula as the other one smudges on me and sadly I don't feel like wearing waterproof everyday.

i'm still to find my holy grail mascara (could be lancôme star but it's a bit expensive)

  15. Would love to know what skin type you are, because I've heard amazing stuff on the Lumi Magique but it doesn't seem to be the best for combo skin.

  16. Japanese mascaras really are the best haha, unfortunately they're pretty pricey.

  17. I'm afraid to try out new mascaras just because I really like Maybelline's The Rocket and Falsies and I've had mascara's fail me before. Buttttt, I've read good stuff about this and might just go out of my comfort zone.

I hate that I really like my sample of Benefit's They're Real because it's just so expensive when there are tons of cheap (but great) mascaras out there.

Have you tried the Jack Black lip balms? They're awesome! Oh and Sephora's Cream lip stain (which are more like liquid lipsticks) are pretty great too!

  18. my skin's combination/sensitive actually and I've never had a problem... I always wear primer so that might be why but it's never given me any trouble =) N x

  19. I love my sample of They're Real as well, but it is so, so much especially in Australia where they bump up the price to $50! I could buy a Dior or YSL mascara for that much! I haven't heard of the Jack Black lip balms, but the Sephora Cream Lip Stains are on my radar for when Sephora opens here later this year. x

  20. I hear such great things about all of L'Oreal's base products! I was torn between True Match and this, but I do need some more dewey foundations in my collection.

  21. I think the thing that makes me so crazy about this is how much length it gives as I have pretty average lashes. They're Real and Falsies have nothing on this in my eyes.
