Topshop's 'Depth' Lipstick

I've been obsessed with MAC's 'Cyber' for the longest time. It is such a bold, beautiful and most of all striking shade. I never picked it up because I was worried about never wearing it due to it's amazing intensity. When I spotted 'Depth' in Topshop I knew it was the perfect way to trial the colour as it's a near identical dupe.

The quality of this is amazing, and I love that the finish isn't matte as that's usually all I can find when it comes to super dark lipsticks. It's not insanely glossy, but there is definitely a sheen and I would say that it has a finish very similar to 'Cyber'. When it comes to pigmentation this is on the mark, a single swipe and you have amazing colour payoff. I swatched it on paper so you could see the purple colour, but on the lips it definitely leans more towards being black.

I love this shade and I can't wait to wear it with a cat eye! The only issue is that it is hard to apply neatly, what shade of lipliner would you recommend for lips this dark?

  9. Ohhh I really love this. If you're looking for dark lipsticks + lip liners to match try watching Carl Bybel's new video. She goes through her favorite lipsticks in this shade along with lip liners that pair well.

  11. This lipstick is brilliant - I have quite pale lips so it comes out a lighter pinky purple or I can build it up to be a dark purple.

  12. I'd imagine Nightmoth by Mac would be perfect with this as when I tried it at counter the SA paired it with cyber. Hope this is useful!

  20. Hiya, I need your help! How do I get the width of my paragraphs (on my blog) to match and align with the photo width(like yours)? So that it looks clean and sharp. And also, how do I get the disqus comment section here? Please email me if you know - rach10414@gmail.co.uk Thanks:-)

  21. I don't do anything except format the images when I'm writing a new blogpost by clicking them and selecting "left" from the bar that pops up. If you're having a big issue it might have something to do with your theme. When it comes to disqus you just go on their website (www.disqus.com) and downloading it is super, super simple! x

  22. Hmmm, but the text and photos are both centered and follow on from each other. Whereas, on my own blog, the paragraphs will stick out at the sides. But yeah, maybe my theme is off, thanks anyway!

  23. Sorry I couldn't help more, I've just never had the problem myself so I wouldn't know how to fix it! I am using the "simple" theme on blogger and just customised everything myself if that's any help. But as I said, the formatting of the blogpost itself is all I have to mess with to get them aligned. Good luck! x

  25. It's definitely a risky purchase, I never know how I'm going to like stand-out shades until I try them on.
