The Review: Rimmel's 'Santa Rose'
After hearing Suzie from Hello October rave about this blush, I had to pick it up. Her makeup always looks flawless and anything she recommends I want to buy. Rimmel's 'Santa Rose' doesn't look much in the pan. It's simple, quite sheer and looks like it would get lost on the cheeks. I don't understand it, but it does do something magical for your complexion.
Colour wise it does give a very subtle flush to the cheeks, think Benefit's Dandelion, sheer but definitely there. What makes this such a stand out product is the lovely glow it gives to the skin. You really don't need a highlighter when you use this and best of all it's a sheen, not straight up glitter. This is a great product for beginners as it's hard to go overboard, and the highlight is not scary at all. It's also perfect for when you're in a rush and don't have time for more than one product on the cheeks.
Have you tried any of Rimmel's blushes and if so, what's your favourite shade?
Oooo that looks gorgeous, bet it looks lovely on you! Loving your blog <3

A Beautiful Zen
NYX has a very comparable shade, maybe even called the same name...? Rimmel blushes are hard to find in the States.

I've used a few blushes like this over the years that don't look anything special in the pan but give a lovely healthy glow to the skin when applied! These Rimmel blushes are really affordable to, so I'll definitely be checking them out when I'm next in Boots!

ReplyDeleteI haven't had much experience with Rimmel blushes, but I like the rosy brown color. Perfect for building on.
