Trending: Vampy Lips

I have a confession to make… I haven't actually worn this shade out of the house. I was lusting after a deep burgundy for the longest time, swatched countless colours that seemed like a match but weren't, found my dream shade and I'm too scared to wear it out! It's not so much that I think it's a little bold for me, because I'm down for going out of my comfort zone, I'm more worried about high maintenance this lipstick might be and how long I may go without realising it's faded in the middle and I have a ring of burgundy framing my lips. For all of you Australian's, this is Sportsgirl's 'Dark Angel'.

Are there any products you love but are too scared to wear? Have you combatted your fear? Let me know!

  1. I've just purchased Raisin Rage from Revlon which is similar to this and I'm trying to decide whether I'll be brave enough to wear it out of the house too! I feel like I'll be looking in mirrors the whole time to check it's all still there ha!

    1. I agree! It's such a beautiful shade though, I don't want it to go to waste!

  2. You should just go for it - I bet it looks lovely on you! Maybe try it as a stain first to avoid having to constantly touch up?

  3. Ahhh, I love the Sportsgirl lipsticks so much! :') I recently bought 'Love Bite' which is quite dark, but not quite as dark as I'd like, I think I'll definitely give 'Dark Angel' a try. I'm a huge lipstick fan but I was scared to try orange lips, which at the time seemed CRAZY, however nowadays I love it! :)

    1. I love their lipsticks too! I love how on trend they are with colours and because they're so cheap I don't feel guilty picking up the more daring shades.
