It was a sunny turned miserable turned sunny again kind of day today and I spent it all indoors. Uni started back this week, so I spent some time organising and getting things together for my new set of classes. It was crazy cold so I opted for snuggling up in bed to get things done, which I know, I know, it's bad for productivity but I couldn't resist.
I settled down with my laptop and planned out my life for the next month. Looking at my computer and notebooks makes my screen name obvious. I've had a few questions, someone even asking if I live in New York, but alas I do not. It's one of those places that you are drawn to and long for without ever having been there. It's always been like that for me, I can't explain it. When I thought of my username I thought long and hard, and for some reason nueyork just kept coming back to me. It's short, sharp and I love the twist on the spelling.
Earlier in the week I was feeling down and cheered myself up with an online splurge which arrived in the mail today - I'm sure you can identify what! You are definitely going to hear more on these in the very near future. I've spent a lot of time lately thinking about my content and I realised that I don't enjoy writing flat out reviews (unless it's a product I'm super excited about) so why am I writing so many of them? I've been jotting down ideas non-stop for posts that aren't review oriented, so hopefully this is the start of me only posting things I'm over the moon about.
Thinking about content has got me curious - what are your favourite kinds of posts to read? Mine are definitely lifestyle and anything that is very personalised to the writer.
