Birkenstocks were a bandwagon I held off on. I bought a few pairs of sliders to ease my craving, some cheap and some just as expensive as the original, but after the $90 Windsor Smith pair that cut up my feet after wearing them out, I decided to just give in as Birkenstocks are notorious for being comfortable, and that's exactly what I was in search of.

Tumblr Inspo #9
Today was a twenty seven degree spring day and I was unfortunately inside watching the world go by from my window as I studied for my upcoming exams. My fingers are crossed that it doesn't get too warm until after my exams are done and dusted so I can enjoy the hot weather.
I am never usually excited for summer as it can be quite hard to deal with in Australia, days shooting well into the forties sometimes. However, I miss the beach and can't wait to start swimming and laying out again so hopefully this year is more manageable than the last.
I have been spending a lot of time getting blog posts together for while I'm busy studying and have really gotten into the hang of scheduling things. I'm aiming to post every second day from now on, especially once my time frees up a little more in the summer break. I have been putting a lot of thought into my blog and I am so excited to be able to work on it more. I want to freshen up the design, work on my content and maybe even look into getting a better quality camera. Nothing is more exciting to me than the prospect of improving my content as it's something I think is so, so important.
How is the weather in your part of the world and what steps are you taking to improve your blog?
My Take On The Birkenstock Trend
I have been loving the Birkenstock trend, much like everyone else in the blogging community! For me I had in mind something a little different, and to suit my personal style, a little edgier. I did some looking, had a few hiccups along the way but eventually found my dream shoe. These are Windsor Smith's 'Cara' sandal in the Stingray finish. I'm absolutely in love with everything about these, and while at first I wanted to order them in plain leather, I am so glad I decided to go out of my comfort zone and order something a little different.
They are super comfy and I honestly can't get over the caviar-like texture of the bands. I have been walking around the house in them and I can't wait to take them out on a proper debut. I've been thinking about getting a cheaper version in white, due to my fear of ruining all that is white within a day, and I think I've settled on these if I do decide to take the plunge!
Are you loving or hating this trend? I really want to know, I've heard so many different opinions.
